Biography - About the Artist

Kim-Scott MillerKim-Scott originates from Salt Lake City, Utah. Having been born and raised there, he was enrolled in the Brigham Young University Youth Theatre Academy at the age of eight. There he studied the fine art of the monologue, character interpretation, vocal delivery and small scene work for eight years with Dr. Grace Nixon Stewart. The study of vocal music quickly followed and he was immediately employed for roles in musicals, dramas and television.

Upon the completion of his studies with Dr. Stewart, he pursued further education in Drama and Musical Theatre at the University of Utah. Here he studied with Dr. Keith Engar, Dr. Marilyn Holt, Charles Morey and Dr. Xan Johnson. His vocal coach was Blanche Christiensen and movement coach was Shirley Ririe. During this time he financed his education with employment from Disney World and performing back-up for Donny and Marie Osmond on their television show.

He proceeded to perform in tours of "Fiddler on the Roof" (with Martha Raye), "Hello Dolly" (with Dorothy Lamour), "Little Mary Sunshine" and "Godspell". Upon the completion of his last tour he decided to become a classroom teacher. That led him to teach and do reserach in China, Jordan and Zaire (now the Demoncratic Republic of the Congo).

Upon his return to the United States, he chose to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area. There he resumed his teaching and also his acting and singing career. He studies voice with Cathryn Frazier-Neely and continues to perform in small group and Cabaret venues in France and for private parties at restaurants in New York City. His cabaret show "Wherever I Go I'm Taking Myself With Me!" has been received warmly. He is now a New York based actor and singer.
